R.I.P. Billy Wedgeworth (CORRUPTION)

just got a sad email from his wife Sandy,
Billy passed away on sunday august 1 2010
a day before i emailed him...i dont know what happened but just wanna let you know the corruption 7''/10'' wont probably ever see the daylight

Billy was the lead vocalist of the band corruption,he also was the lead vocalist for HIRAX in 1987

i asked Sandy if she still wants me to release it or just leave it all behind,but fact is he was really excited there was a new young generation outthere that still wanted to hear their music
im really sad i never had the chance to talk him

there are some bullshit stories on the net about him and his death

just let him rest in peace.

we'll meet on the other side,hope you found your peace

but never saw a real copy,or else i would have bought it for sure

demo had lots of weird noises but with audacity you can do nice things
sounds clean/cleaner now,2x as much bass,more volume and here ya
16 tracks that sounds somewhere between the genetic control 7'' and negative gain's back from the dead lp so you know what to expect

COLERA - demo 1983 cd-r (brasil) CLEANED-NEW CUT!

and cleaned/cut another one,there are 2 versions on slsk,one with 11 tracks and alot of tapenoise,the other complete 12 tracks but the dude cut off the tapenoise but also parts of the tracks,sucks
found a 1 track,the other rips came from the same 1 track,tapenoise etc
but now its clean! and a better cut as the other too,did some fade outs so sounds niceeeeee!

its a european bootleg,probably german so europeans can check greenhell mailorder etc,pretty sure this will pop up in many distro's

and its never released on vinyl so that pretty damn cool,i need one for sure.

allright,heres the 1st version

took me 3 days to clean it up

this is the bootleg that recently came out as an lp but with lots of tapenoise,bad endcuts and what more,not worth your $$ i think

finally know how to remove tapenoise so this is the 1st attemp,some came out real good,5 or so came out with some weird noises from removing the hiss,but ill redo those till it sounds decent

i tried to keep the sound "filthy" i luv that hollow tree sound of the drums/bass together so i even put a little extra in it ;-)

also found a great liveset from 1984 on data dvd,boosted sound a bit and here ya go,49 tracks of early and goooooood old DRI

the liveset is with Eric Brecht behind the kit,march '84,but dont know venue/exact date,

:edit: at the end you hear they play CBGB's next week,so its def '84 a week before the dvd was filmed,ill look up date..

but ill ask/look around,its def before dwi was recorded coz structures/riffs/lyrics are different

it will get a different cover too,this is just quickly done for now

D.R.I. was/is still my favorite band ever!

i remember a review someone wrote for the DWI lp many many yrs ago and he wrote how he drived his bike as fast as he could to get home from school,so he could play the dwi record,pretty cool,i was on the other side of the world but i did exactly the same at age 13/14,played tapes back than offcourse but i played that record so many times you dont wanna know,and still when i put it up,it has the same impact,im almost 35 now and still wanna jump around my room and smash everything ;-)

Spike is doing good and won the battle against cancer and theyre currently playing shows again and HOW!

try to put up live vids soon!

underated band in the hc community,in the oi! scene they are more known

they did 4 tracks from the demo on vulture rock recs and 6 later recorded tracks on the no escape 7'',track 8 and 9 are comp tracks,8 = a slapshot cover from va boston drops the glove,slapshot tribute and the last one again breakout! from the va-no sleep till hardcore comp,but also appears on the no escape 7'' which was released on test pattern/boiling point recs

cant rip vinyl myself so have to ask so that one will follow later.
